West Madison Veterinary Hospital And Pet Resort

I took my 15 year old dog to Dr. Van Camp because I knew something was seriously wrong with him. I asked her for a referral to neurology and she completely refused and sent us to cardiology instead. She said if the cardiologist thought he needed to go to neurology, then the cardiologist could refer us. Weeks go by while we're waiting for this cardiology appointment and my little boy keeps declining. I go to another vet because the cardiologist is still weeks away and he immediately said something is going on neurological and refers us to neurology. The same day we see the neurologist, she immediately does a same day MRI. It shows that my little boy has a cancerous, aggressive brain tumor that is 2cm with hemorrhage around it. By the time, I finally got an answer, he could not walk at all, could not even keep his balance to sit up, was having seizures, half of his face was drooped, panting and trembling, and could not get comfortable. Because of Dr. Van Camp's refusal to refer me to neurology, my little boy suffered way longer than he should have because I had no idea what was wrong with him or if it could be fixed. I was absolutely right that something neurological was going on with him and she refused to listen. The next time a pet parent tells you something, you should listen. You don't know our dogs better than us because you see them for a 5 minutes exam! I will absolutely never be back and I do not recommend! And do you know during all of this, I called MULTIPLE times and she would never speak to me directly on the phone? Always through a vet assistant. My little dog was in serious trouble and you couldn't even have the decency to talk to me on the phone.

They are simply one of the finest veterinarian centers in the world. Their entire staff is always kind and professional, and they are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Unable to thank them enough in words for all the go(o)d they have done for our family. We highly recommend their services for all your little furry friends too :) Godspeed 🙏 TDBN 💰

The staff and veterinarians were so kind and accommodating with my reactive dog, and I was able to get a same-day appointment, which was super convenient. My dog enjoyed getting loved on my everyone! Thank you!

This Veterinary practice is the epitome of caring and compassionate care. Dr. Mixon and her staff are wonderful people who truly love their callings. They have been taking care of all of our animals since 2005 and we would not consider going any place else.
